Your Desert Home

A curated desert escape designed for those who value refined travel, thoughtful wellness, and exceptional hospitality.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Camelback Mountain, this small-group experience blends luxury resort living, meaningful conversation, and restorative experiences designed to help you feel your best.

For five days and four nights, guests will enjoy carefully curated dining, cultural excursions, and wellness experiences in one of the Southwest’s most beautiful settings.

This is not a retreat in the traditional sense. It is an elevated travel experience designed for people who want to move well, eat well, and enjoy extraordinary places with an engaging group of fellow travelers.

A Small Group by Design

This experience is intentionally limited to 8–10 guests.

Small groups allow us to create more meaningful connections, access unique experiences, and maintain a relaxed pace throughout the weekend.

An Elevated Experience

  • The pace of the weekend balances activity and leisure.

Mornings may include gentle movement, desert exploration, or cultural excursions. Afternoons allow time to relax, enjoy the spa or pool, or participate in optional recovery experiences. Evenings feature memorable dining and conversation.

Our goal is simple: to create an experience that leaves you feeling energized, inspired, and well cared for.

  • This program is designed for travelers who:

    • Appreciate thoughtful hospitality and curated travel
    • Enjoy great food and engaging conversation
    • Value wellness without the intensity of a traditional retreat
    • Prefer small groups over large tour programs

Our Founder

Cynthia Plath

Founder of Sojourn & Soiree, Former U.S. Diplomat

After more than 30 years of exploring the world through diplomacy and travel, I’ve learned that the most meaningful experiences are those that awaken all the senses—where beauty, connection, and culture come together effortlessly. My journey has taken me from formal negotiating tables in New York and Geneva to quiet vineyard terraces in Napa and Tuscany, and along the way, I discovered my true passion: curating unique experiences that allow people to truly enjoy their surroundings and the special itinerary developed for them.”

Itinerary

Thursday — Arrival + Grounding

Afternoon Private sprinter transfers from the airport. Check in, settle in, and take a breath — the weekend begins slowly by design.

Early Evening Hosted welcome reception in the courtyard with craft cocktails and curated appetizers. A light Mediterranean dinner on property, and a brief welcome from Cynthia to set the tone for the days ahead.

Friday — Move Well, Recover Well

Morning An optional gentle outdoor Pilates and mobility session — light movement, breathwork, and stretching focused on balance, joint health, and starting the day feeling good. No prior experience needed.

Mid-Morning A private longevity session hosted by Desert Harmony Wellness, covering practical insights on hormone health, cellular recovery, and inflammation science. Conversational, not clinical — you'll leave with real takeaways, not a stack of reading material.

Afternoon A visit to the Desert Botanical Garden — one of the most beautiful and accessible outdoor experiences in the Southwest. Unhurried, scenic, and authentically Sonoran.

Evening Group dinner at Elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain — one of Scottsdale's most celebrated dining experiences, set against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain at dusk.

Saturday — Desert + Culture

Morning A guided walk through McDowell Sonoran Preserve with a local naturalist. Open desert, clear light, and a pace that asks nothing of you.

Late Morning Brunch in Old Town Scottsdale, followed by optional recovery experiences on property — IV hydration therapy, pre-booked massage sessions, and the resort spa. Structured blocks available; no pressure to do everything.

Afternoon Free time. Spa, pool, or a golf clinic — entirely your call.

Optional A private tequila tasting for those who want it.

Evening A private chef dinner on property — or a curated group reservation in Paradise Valley for a change of scenery.

Sunday — Architecture + Legacy

Morning A relaxed group breakfast with an open conversation: how to carry the energy of the weekend forward. No agenda, no worksheets — just good food and honest conversation.

Late Morning A private docent-led tour of Taliesin West — Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic desert studio and UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the most intellectually rich and visually stunning experiences in Arizona.

Afternoon A second wave of optional recovery — IV therapy, massage, or simply an afternoon by the pool.

Evening A closing dinner to mark the end of the edition. Light, celebratory, and unhurried.

FAQs

  • Yes. The Scottsdale Edition is open to all — solo travelers, friends booking together, and couples. The common thread isn't a demographic; it's a mindset. You're curious, you care about how you feel, and you're ready to actually slow down for four days.

  • Most guests don't — and the experience is structured in a way that makes that easy. Shared meals, shared movement, shared wonder at the desert. The group is small enough that everyone connects, and guests consistently leave with friendships that outlast the trip.

  • Yes. Let us know at the time of inquiry and we'll coordinate accordingly.
