The Napa Wine Down · Sonoma & Napa Valley
Four days. Small-batch vineyards. The kind of afternoon that turns into evening.
October 9-12, 2026 · Sonoma & Napa Valley · Limited to 10 Guests
Most wine trips hand you a tasting menu and wish you luck. This isn't that.
The Napa Reset is a four-day, three-night small-group escape set in a private Sonoma estate — curated and hosted by Cynthia Plath (a former diplomat who knows how to make any room feel like home) and Nina Berube (a host and experience curator with a background in wine and movement ) from the moment you land to the moment you leave. Six wineries. Two private chef dinners. Morning movement, long afternoons, and evenings that spill into the night around a fire.
You don't need another vacation. You need a reset.
Slow mornings without an alarm. Evenings that unfold over long dinners and great conversation. Days shaped by discovery, where each glass of wine reveals something new and each moment invites you back to yourself.
With just eight to ten guests, the experience is intentionally intimate, with every detail seamlessly handled.
Set within a private Sonoma estate, this edition is designed for those who love wine and want to go deeper, in a way that feels elevated, unhurried, and quietly restorative.

Itinerary At a Glance
Day 1 — Arrive + Exhale
You land, we take it from there.
Private transfers bring you straight from Sacramento to your Sonoma estate — your home for the next four days. The evening begins with a guided six-wine welcome tasting, curated and led by your hosts, followed by a private chef dinner with blind tasting. We close around the fire with a nightcap and good conversation.
Tone of the day: arrive, exhale, settle in.
Day 2 — Depth + Discovery
The heart of the wine experience.
After an optional morning movement session and breakfast at the house, we board a private transportation for a full six-hour tour through Sonoma and Napa. We visit three wineries — each chosen for their distinct character and access:
Stone Edge Vineyard — private, elevated, estate-level tasting
Blue Oak Vineyard — private chef catered lunch on venue w/tasting
Back at the estate, a private chef delivers a four-course dinner with wine service throughout.
Tone of the day: immersive, indulgent, unhurried.
Day 3 — Sparkling + Lightness
A lighter day — still rich, still beautiful.
After a morning stretch and restore session and breakfast, we explore three more standout producers:
Domaine Carneros — California's iconic sparkling wine experience
Hess Private Selection — deep Napa reds with member-access experience
The evening brings dinner out in Sonoma at a local favorite, chosen for the moment.
Tone of the day: light, social, celebratory.
Day 4 — Ground + Depart
We close the way we opened — together.
A final group breakfast in town, an optional quiet closing moment, then private transfers back to Sacramento for departures. You leave full — of wine, yes, but mostly of the kind of connection and rest that lingers.
Tone of the day: grounded, complete, connected.
What Makes This Different
Wine trips are everywhere. Private estate, six-winery, chef-cooked, fully-hosted four-day resets are not.
We're with you. Cynthia and Nina are at every tasting, every dinner, every conversation. The hosting is the experience.
You have a real home base. Not a hotel. A private estate that becomes yours for four days — shared with guests who were strangers on Day 1 and feel like family by Day 4.
The pacing is intentional. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is over-scheduled. Real downtime is built in.
Movement is woven in, not bolted on. Gentle morning sessions — always optional — keep you feeling grounded without turning this into a wellness retreat.
Wine is the anchor, not the checklist. Every winery is chosen for a reason. You'll taste with intention, ask better questions, and leave with a palate that's genuinely more refined.

Your investment covers three nights of luxury private estate accommodations, all private transportation (airport transfers and the full-day limo winery tour on Day 2), all curated winery tastings and entry fees, two private in-home chef dinners, the guided welcome wine tasting on arrival evening, and daily optional movement sessions — plus full hosting by Cynthia and Nina throughout. Essentially: everything on the ground from the moment you land to the moment you depart.
What's not included: flights to/from Sacramento, gratuities, personal incidentals, and any wine you fall in love with and want to bring home. (We'll help you ship it.)
-
Sacramento International Airport (SMF). We coordinate private transfers directly from the airport to the estate — no rental cars, no navigation, no logistics on your end.
-
Cynthia Plath is a former diplomat and international affairs professional turned entrepreneur, with a deep background in curated travel and retreat experiences. Nina is her co-host and partner in this project, and together they've built The Napa Reset around the kind of hosting that's increasingly rare: personal, present, and genuinely warm.
"Hosted" means we're with you — at every winery, every dinner, every morning. We're not tour guides reading from a script. We're your companions for four days, and the relationships and conversations that unfold are very much part of the experience.
-
Absolutely not. This experience is designed to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you drink wine regularly and want to go deeper, or you simply enjoy a good glass and want to experience Napa properly for the first time, you'll feel at home. The tastings are guided and educational without being intimidating. Wine curiosity is the only prerequisite.
-
Eight to ten women, maximum. That's intentional. A small group means you actually get to know everyone, the experience stays intimate, and we can offer the level of access and hosting that a larger group would make impossible.
-
They're optional — always. The morning sessions are gentle: think mobility, stretching, and restore-style movement designed to help you feel good after a long day of wine tasting. Nothing intense, nothing that requires athleticism or special gear. Show up if you feel like it. Sleep in if you don't.
-
A private luxury estate in Sonoma — think spacious rooms, beautiful shared spaces, a kitchen where the private chef works, and outdoor areas perfect for morning coffee or evening nightcaps. The estate is the group's home for four days, not just a place to sleep. Specific property details are shared upon booking.
-
Yes — The Napa Reset is open to all, and couples are welcome. Whether you're coming as a pair, with a friend, or solo, what matters is the mindset: curious, present, and ready to actually slow down. The group dynamic is warm and inclusive by design.
Who’s Hosting
Cynthia Plath — Sojourn & Soirée Cynthia designs and hosts journeys. A former diplomat who spent years living and working across Europe and beyond, she has a particular eye — for places, for people, for the details that make a room feel different than it did when you walked in. She's also a Pilates instructor, and she'll be on the mat with you. She designed this weekend the way she designs everything: by asking what it would take for you to leave completely changed, and working backwards from there.
Nina Berube - EMBODY by Antonina
Nina designs and hosts private and small-group experiences, as well as cultural immersion trips, centered around movement, wine, and place. With a background in education, extensive travel, and formal wine studies including WSET Levels 2 and 3, she brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to how people experience a place. She is also a yoga teacher and will offer optional movement sessions throughout the weekend. Her work is rooted in creating spaces that invite people to slow down, engage their senses, and connect more deeply to themselves, to others, and to the world around them.
