I spent more than twenty years moving through the world as a U.S. diplomat — negotiating, navigating, and learning how places shape people. I've sat at formal tables in New York and Geneva, wandered medieval markets in the Middle East, and discovered that the most transformative travel rarely happens on a schedule.
When I left government service, I did what felt natural: I started designing the kinds of journeys I'd always wanted to take. Small groups. Meaningful destinations. The access that comes from knowing how to move through the world with intention.

What I do: I design and host intimate group journeys and bespoke private events anywhere in the world — from long weekends on the Maine coast to destination celebrations in Europe, wine country escapes in California, and custom international itineraries built entirely around you.

Sojourn & Soirée began as a natural extension of our sister property, The Old Bell Tavern—a historic retreat house restored by us in 2023. From this countryside haven in Maine, our team curates global experiences that carry the same spirit of warmth, design, and connection.
