Booking Terms & Conditions & Participant Waiver
Applies to all retreats and curated experiences offered by Sojourn & Soirée LLC
These Terms & Conditions and Participant Waiver govern all retreat bookings made through Sojourn & Soirée LLC. By submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below. Specific details about your retreat — including dates, location, itinerary, and inclusions — are provided in your booking confirmation.
1. Reservations & Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $800 USD per person is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Your reservation is confirmed once your deposit payment is received and processed.
The $800 deposit goes toward your total retreat investment and will be applied to your remaining balance.
2. Payment Schedule
The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to your retreat start date. You will receive a payment reminder in advance of this deadline. Failure to remit the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation, with the deposit retained by Sojourn & Soirée LLC.
Payment may be made via the methods listed on the applicable retreat product page.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the retreat start date will receive a full refund of any payments made beyond the $800 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before the retreat start date will receive a 50% refund of the balance paid beyond the deposit. The deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations made fewer than 30 days before the retreat start date are non-refundable in full.
Reservations may be transferred to another eligible participant at no penalty, provided Sojourn & Soirée LLC is notified in writing at least 14 days before the retreat start date. Transfer eligibility is subject to review and approval.
4. What's Included & Not Included
The specific inclusions for your retreat are detailed on the retreat product page and in your booking confirmation. Unless explicitly stated as included, participants are responsible for:
- International or domestic flights and personal airport transfers
- Travel insurance, medical insurance, or trip cancellation coverage (strongly recommended)
- Optional excursions, spa treatments, or personal activities not listed in the itinerary
- Meals, beverages, and personal expenses outside of those specified as included
- Gratuities for third-party service providers
5. Itinerary Changes
While every effort is made to deliver the experience as described, Sojourn & Soirée LLC reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions or adjustments to the itinerary due to weather, safety concerns, vendor availability, force majeure, or other unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be issued for minor itinerary changes.
6. Photography & Media
Sojourn & Soirée LLC may photograph or record video during retreats for use in promotional, social media, and marketing materials. By participating, you grant permission for your likeness to be used in such materials. If you prefer to opt out, please notify us in writing before your retreat begins.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA. Any disputes arising from or related to this agreement will be resolved within its jurisdiction.
PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
8. Voluntary Participation
I understand that retreats offered by Sojourn & Soirée LLC may include physical, wellness, cultural, culinary, or adventure activities. I am voluntarily choosing to participate and acknowledge that such activities carry inherent risks.
9. Assumption of Risk
I accept full responsibility for any risk of injury, illness, or loss that may occur as a result of my participation in retreat activities, excursions, or travel to and from the retreat location.
10. Medical Clearance & Disclosure
I confirm that I am in good physical health and, where relevant, have obtained clearance from a licensed medical professional to participate in the activities offered. I agree to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect my participation or the safety of other guests.
11. Release of Liability
I hereby release and hold harmless Sojourn & Soirée LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, facilitators, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities for injury, illness, or loss arising from participation in any retreat or related travel.
12. Independent Services
Any educational, wellness, or experiential services provided by third-party facilitators, instructors, or vendors are for general enrichment purposes only and do not constitute professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Participation in such services is voluntary, and participants should seek independent professional guidance as needed.
13. Travel & Personal Property
I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my personal travel arrangements, travel documents, personal property, and compliance with applicable local laws and safety practices at all times during the retreat.
14. Agreement
By submitting payment, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to these Booking Terms & Conditions and the Participant Waiver & Release of Liability in their entirety.
